Anne McEntee is a Registered Nurse and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She worked for many years in critical care before transitioning to Hospice nursing. In 2014 Anne made a shift to the wellness side of the health spectrum and became a yoga teacher. Her experience teaching yoga led Anne to become an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, supporting clients in acute rehab through mindfulness and stress reduction practices.

Anne completed Duke Integrative Medicine’s Integrative Health Coach Professional Training Program and went on to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. As an Integrative Health Coach, Anne enjoys working with individual clients to help them prevent or manage chronic health issues. She considers herself the missing link between a doctor’s advice and taking action. She partners with people to make sustainable lifestyle changes that ultimately allow them to live healthier lives.

Anne works within any area of her client’s life that could be affecting their health. Whether it is eating healthier, adding more movement, improving sleep habits or finding ways to decrease stress, she helps clients move from contemplating a change to implementing a plan. Through open-ended questions, deep listening and empathy she helps generate new insights to help her clients develop intrinsic motivation. Anne takes a client-centered approach to assist clients in setting their own goals and then identifying realistic, specific action steps to achieve those goals.

Anne enjoys learning, running, yoga and hiking as well as spending time with family. She finds fulfillment doing medical mission work in Guatemala.
