Dr. Nanda¬†attended York College of Pennsylvania and received a BS in Biology and graduated from Penn State College of Medicine with her MD degree. She completed her adult psychiatric residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and went on to complete her child and adolescent training at Columbia and Cornell University Hospitals in New York City. Dr. Nanda is now Board-Certified in Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and Neurology and has been practicing for ten years.

Dr. Nanda provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children, teens, and adults in private practice as well as a community mental health center. She is an expert in treating eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder and has worked in eating disorder residential treatment programs. Dr. Nanda has experience working as a sub-investigator and conducted pharmaceutical research in getting new psychiatric drugs approved by the FDA. She is knowledgeable about many new psychiatric medications available currently on the market.

She specializes in treating major depressive disorder, bipolar disorders, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Nanda is also a certified Zumba instructor and teaches Zumba to other treatment providers at her community mental health clinic. She takes a holistic approach in treating patients and believes that the mind-body connection is very important and aerobic exercise and yoga can help mitigate symptoms of mental illness.
