Patricia Geraghty MSN, FNP-BC, WHNP is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience specializing in women’s health.  Patty attended the University of California, Davis for undergraduate studies in biological and behavioral development. She started her career as part of a neuropsychology research team at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland. Patty then did graduate study in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner followed by a post-masters Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of California, San Francisco. Her focus was on exercise and mothers working outside the home.  

Patty was associate professor and founding coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Holy Names University in Oakland, California, where she continues as clinical faculty. She currently teaches women’s health content in bay area graduate nursing education programs. Patty serves as a volunteer clinician in two free bilingual clinics. She speaks and publishes nationally on topics pertinent to women’s health across the lifespan, serves on the Sharecare, Inc. Medical Advisory Board, and is a member of the North American Menopause Society, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 

Patty is an active hiker, roaming the bay area hills and further afield with her husband. She has two grown sons and two wonderful daughters in law. With decades of experience caring for women, she remains passionate about women’s health, believing that if you improve the health of women, you improve the health of the community.
