Kristin Avicolli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, with over 20 years of experience specializing in helping individuals, families, adults, and teens work through the challenges that prevent them from living the healthy and purposeful life they desire. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1999 with an emphasis on health and mental health. She is licensed in the state of California.
Kristin became a therapist because she believes when people are accepted for who they are, it allows them space and freedom to consider change. She specializes in women’s issues, teen stress and anxiety, chronic health conditions and life transitions. Her approach is supportive, interactive and truly meets you where you are on your journey to wellness. Kristin is passionate about helping people and has training and interest in discovering the way in which we adjust to life altering events, human resiliency, trauma informed care and the neuroscience behind lasting behavior change. She values a highly personalized, strengths-based approach. Kristin draws upon aspects of mindfulness, brief solution-focused, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy. Kristin is gender affirming and accepts all ethnicities, cultures and religious backgrounds.
Kristin loves Tahoe, yoga, Bernese Mountain dogs and relaxing with her family.
