Dr. Jason Cheng is a neurosurgeon affiliated with John Muir Health. Dr. Cheng has a special interest in minimally invasive spine surgery, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, and pituitary surgery.
He completed his undergraduate degree at Stanford University and his medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He stayed at UCSF for his Neurosurgery residency, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. While at UCSF, his education and research was supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans.
Dr. Cheng has published numerous clinical and scientific research articles including first-author publications in Nature Neuroscience, Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, and PLoS One.
